In honor of Joe and Michele Mercatell, the Rumble on the River family has created a scholarship fund.

Beginning in May 2011, one graduating senior, who will be attending college the following Fall from West Forest High School, East Forest High School and North Clarion High School will be awarded a $500 scholarship. The student will have to be nominated by a teacher or faculty member from the school in which they attend.  Along with a short application form, students will have to write a short essay describing how they have made a difference in their community.

100% of the money donated to this fund, will be used to ensure the future of this scholarship fund.  Our hope is in the future to increase the amount of scholarships given, as well as the amount of dollars given. The fund in overseen by the Bridge Builders Community Foundation and the PA Open Road Youth Fund.  All donations are 501 C (3) tax deductable.
